William Jury

Dr. William Jury is profoundly expert discussing both the physical and the metaphysical.  With a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology and a PhD in Physics, he is uniquely qualified to show where these two worlds meet, how they differ, and how ultimately they may prove to be different aspects of each other.  His wide-ranging scholarly interests are reflected in his published works: 225 papers and 4 books.  He was identified by the Institute for Scientific Information as among the 100 most highly cited researchers in the world in both the fields of Engineering and Environment/Ecology.  In 1999 he was presented in Washington, DC with the US Department of Agriculture Secretary's Honor Award for Environmental Protection.  In 2000, Dr. Jury was elected to the U. S. National Academy of Sciences.  As a Distinguished Professor of Soil and Water Science and Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Riverside, he received both the Graduate Student Association and Faculty Senate Distinguished Teaching Awards, and was the 2002 UCR Faculty Research Lecturer. Over his career at UCR he served as Department Chair, Vice Provost for Academic Personnel, and Interim Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost. He was also the inaugural Chair of the Faculty Academy of Distinguished Teaching.
